It was way back in October 2022 when Taylor Swift teased that she’d be dropping several music videos alongside her latest hit album “Midnights,” and her visuals for her lead single “Anti-Hero” and follow-up “Bejeweled” arrived soon after. Now, three months later, we’re finally getting more “Midnights” music video goodness with a visual for Swift’s second single, “Lavender Haze,” which dropped on Jan. 27.
Swift’s “Anti-Hero” video kicked off the first of many off her “Midnights” album on Oct. 21, just hours after the project was released. And since there are two iconic blondes with a deep connection to midnight – Cinderella and Taylor Swift – it makes sense that the second music video off of “Midnights,” which dropped on Oct. 25, was a Cinderella-themed story for her song “Bejeweled.”
Both “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled”‘s releases were marked on the schedule Swift shared with fans on social media before “Midnights” dropped, but it was never made clear when the rest of her videos would arrive.
Swift announced that she was releasing a series of “Midnights music movies” in a teaser released during Prime Video’s Oct. 20 Thursday Night Football stream. For the visuals – which feature cameos with Laura Dern, Dita Von Teese, frequent collaborators Jack Antonoff and the Haim sisters, and more – she worked with cinematographer Rina Yang (who also worked with her on the “All Too Well” short film).
“Here’s the teaser trailer for the videos I’ve made for Midnights 🌌 Thank you @amazonmusic for premiering this,” Swift wrote alongside a teaser trailer for the visual album she posted to Twitter. We still don’t know exactly how many more videos there will be so fans will just have to wait and see.
