I bought an Argos pre-lit garland to put outside my house but got totally catfished – I can’t believe the state of it

SHE wanted to make the front of her house look festive for Christmas, so splashed out on a £150 pre-lit archway from Argos.

But one woman was left fuming when she put the arch up, and it looked nothing like the pictures.

She began by showing pictures of the 8ft archway on the Argos website, before showing how it looked outside her house.

Despite attempting to make the arch look fuller by attaching baubles, it still looked incredibly sparse.

@argos you have catfished me good and proper!” she captioned her TikTok video.

“What is this?! Absolutely dying at the state of it.”

While she turned comments off on the video, the reviews of the product on the Argos website indicated that other customers were also unimpressed with the archway.

“Returned this item after putting it up and trying to make it look like the pictures,” one wrote.

“Very sparse and the middle top part basically has nothing on it as well as the joints being rusted so I’m assuming this has been sat in a warehouse for a long period.”

“Nothing like the picture, avoid,” another added.

As a third commented: “Not sure what archway they’re using in the catalogue picture but it’s not the same one you get once purchased.”

Others insisted that the arch is fit for purpose once it’s decorated, with one writing: “Was worried at first when assembling but once decorated they look great.”

“I love this!! I’ve wanted one for ages and am so happy with it,” another added.

“It looks beautiful. Would definitely recommend.”
