It comes as McDonald’s is launching its “Raise Your Arches” campaign.
The campaign, complete with new TV advert, “celebrates the unspoken signal” of raising your eyebrows when you fancy a Maccies.
Eagle-eyed fans took to social to query why the iconic McDonald’s logo had changed across its channels this week.
The brand changed its profile pictures to a cryptic “eyebrow raise” adaptation of the logo, leading many to question what was going on.
Several Tweeted that they “NEED to know what this means”.
Michelle Graham-Clare, senior vice president, chief marketing officer at McDonald’s UK and Ireland, said: “In a challenging time, our Raise Your Arches invitation to McDonald’s provides the nation with a small but much-needed moment to let go and feel good.
“We hope the campaign raises arches and smiles across the country and I can’t wait to see everyone get involved.”
This is not the first time Maccies has taken part in a “January sale”, last year the chain launched a week of offers at the end of the month.
The chain gives out discounts and deals like this from time to time out side of big campaigns too.
