A FLIGHT attendant has revealed the strange ways in which passengers ask them out during plane journeys.
Some people think they’re irresistible and that the cabin crew will want nothing more than to be interrupted while at work by someone trying to flirt with them.

However, quite the opposite is true and the vast majority of people will find themselves on the end of a blunt rejection if they try and get a date with a flight attendant.
Jessica Lyons from Rio de Janeiro has worked on board planes for two years now and in that time has had plenty of experience of people attempting to chat her up.
But it never works – even when passengers try some more creative methods.
Jessica told the Star: “We have passengers often asking us to go out, leave cellphone numbers in napkins and even share business cards.
“Some of them even tell us they are not feeling well – just to get our attention.”
Jessica, who is married, said that she and her husband often laugh at her stories together and that flight attendants have to have a sense of humour.
She continued: “You know flight attendants have a good sense of humour and that is what get us through the long days and nights.”
If you are on board a plane and want to know if the flight attendants are at least interested in you, listen to what they’re saying to one another.
They have some secret codes that they use to discuss the passengers on board.
One anonymous cabin crew member told Heart FM: “We have a little game called ‘find the Bob’ and basically Bob stands for best on board. So, you just find the best looking person on the plane and you call them Bob the whole day.
“And, then if you can’t find a Bob sometimes passengers get on and they’re sleepy and they put their heads down and they fall asleep and you can’t really see their faces.
“Then as they get off instead of calling them Bob you’d be like, ‘Cheerio.’ And that would indicate to your other crew members that you fancy them.”
There are other names that you want to avoid as a passenger on board a plane, that mean you’re definitely not in the flight attendants’ good books.
One cabin crew member told Sun Online Travel: “If you’re labelled a “Philip” then you’ve done something wrong and should probably expect to get bad service for the rest of the flight.
“That name originated from the term PILP – Passenger I’d Like to Punch – but has changed over time to become slightly more subtle.
“If you’re a frequent flyer and want to know if we’re talking about you, it’s worth learning the phonetic alphabet, because if we are discussing individual passengers, we’ll use seat numbers to do so.
“For example, if you’re in seat 13D, we’ll refer to you as ‘Delta 13’.”
