But under new boss Graham Potter, Aubameyang has struggled to find his feet in front of goal.

He has just three goals across all competitions this season and has started Chelsea’s last four Premier League games from the bench.

But as defending Prem champions Man City came to town, Aubameyang was called into action within minutes of kick-off after Raheem Sterling picked up an injury.

The goal-shy forward lasted just over an hour, managing just 14 touches, and registering ZERO shots.

Aubameyang then faced humiliation as he was replaced by youngster Omari Hutchinson with Chelsea trailing City 1-0.

Riyad Mahrez scored the opening goal of the game after replacing Bernardo Silva on the hour mark.

The Algerian tapped home at the back post, handing fellow second half substitute Jack Grealish an assist.

Chelsea have just one league win in their last six outings.
