ASDA shoppers have uncovered a mysterious image hidden on the supermarket’s own brand milk cartons – but there’s a simple solution.
The supermarket giant’s packaging for its long-life whole milk has a cow in a field as the main image.

But eagle-eyed shoppers have spotted that behind the cow and below the product name is a random rectangle, which has left many people asking why it is there.
One shopper took to Reddit to ask if anyone knew.
They wrote on the social media site: “Asda milk carton has a mysterious white rectangle on the hills. Why?”
This quickly sparked a fierce discussion with users who were unable to agree on what it was.
Some believed it was a door in the middle of a field, although others thought it was a wooden picket to hold the ‘sign’ with the text on top.
One user wrote: “Cow door. Most fields have them.”
While another posted: “It’s a door, like the one in the Truman Show. It’s a metaphor signifying the caged, controlled lives of the moo-creatures.”
A third added: “It’s the post holding up the sign with the large lettered MILK on…”
Another said: “It’s the pole for the Asda sign with the writing on.”
The debate appeared to have been solved by another user though who used an image from a similar product to illustrate their point.
They shared a link to the semi-skimmed milk which showed it more clearly as part of the sign.
That caused someone else to comment: “Mystery solved.”
Towards the end of last month, Reddit users discussed a rather rude teddy bear after it was spotted in a shopping centre.
An eagle-eyed bargain hunter saw the seemingly well-endowed teddy at the Whiteley shopping centre and became “slightly concerned” thinking it had been “designed for kids”.
A user posted a picture of the “particularly shlongy bear” along with the caption “This is in the middle of Whiteley shopping centre and I’m guessing designed for kids?!
It’s definitely a male bear as little is left to the imagination.
In a separate Reddit post, another user drew attention to their selfish neighbour’s parking when they were trying to move house.
In another thread, a woman explained her experience when she refused to give up her bus seat for an elderly lady because she was pregnant.
