What has happened so far in the 2022 World Cup?

We are into the last 16 stage of the World Cup and the Netherlands were the first team to make it through to the quarter-finals.

They defeated the USA 3-1 but the score was a little flattering for the men in orange.

Later on Saturday, Argentina beat Australia 2-1 with Lionel Messi stealing the show in his 1,000th game.

On Sunday, France beat Poland while England thrashed Senegal to set up a mouth-watering tie.

The third quarter-final will see Brazil face Croatia.

The favourites beat South Korea 4-1 with Neymar and co enjoying their evening against the team from Asia.

Croatia had to go to penalties to beat Japan and book their place in the quarter-finals.

The promotion is only open to residents in the UK.

There will be one winner of £5,000 selected at random from all valid entries.
