Beach Babes! Amy Schumer and Husband Chris Fischer Enjoy St. Barts Getaway

Beach babes! Amy Schumer and her husband, Chris Fischer, are basking in their post-holiday bliss — in the ocean.

The Life & Beth alum, 41, donned a blue-and-white, floral swimsuit as she and Fischer, 42, walked side-by-side on the beach at the Eden Rock hotel on the Caribbean island on Tuesday, December 27. The twosome, who wed in February 2018, were also photographed swimming in the water together.

Schumer and the professional chef have been linked since 2017, tying the knot one year later.

“The way that my now-husband proposed was so worthless,” the Trainwreck actress quipped during her Saturday Night Live monologue in May 2018. “It was a dumb proposal. It was the morning. I was still asleep. He threw the box at me and said ‘I got you this.’ But that’s a realistic proposal.”

Nearly one year after Us Weekly broke the news about the couple’s secret nuptials, they welcomed son Gene in May 2019.

“Gene can walk outside on the grass and we’re not terrified. New York is tough. It was really heavy,” Schumer told Howard Stern of parenting amid the coronavirus pandemic during an April 2020 interview on his radio show, referring to their residence on Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts. “I got to see him clap for the first time. It’s such a luxury to spend this time with the baby.”

As the twosome continue to balance their careers with raising 3-year-old son Gene, their relationship has continued to flourish.

“Chris loves Amy so much. He loves when she is wild and unapologetic. It’s one of his favorite things about her,” a source exclusively told Us in April. “When she is anxious he loves calming her down and being that support for her.”

The insider added: “Amy thinks Chris is hysterical without even realizing it!”

The I Feel Pretty star has also learned how to navigate her spouse’s autism spectrum disorder, which he was diagnosed with in March 2019.

“It’s been positive for our family to have [Chris] diagnosed. I understand so much more about his behavior and it’s given him so many tools,” Schumer said during her November episode of SNL. “Even though these past couple years with the pandemic has been so stressful, [I told him] this time being with you, being with our son have been the best years of my life.”

The New York native has candidly praised how the Beetlebung Farm Cookbook author navigates his diagnosis through the years, and doesn’t “have a preference” if Gene will also be on the spectrum.

“I think the statistics are pretty strong toward he will most likely have autism,” Schumer told Chelsea Handler during aan episode of her “Dear Chelsea” podcast in March. “Parents have different journeys with this. Having a child with severe autism is beyond my imagination difficult. But if Gene does wind up having ASD, I’m not looking for the signs in a way that are upsetting. I’m not hoping either way.”

She added at the time: “You can see some signs, but the diagnosis doesn’t come until later and I can say honestly, I don’t have a preference either way. You just want your kids to be healthy and happy.”
