Nelly Furtado suffers gruesome injury after falling over while performing at Coachella

Canadian singer Nelly Furtado took a tumble while performing on stage at Coachella, leaving her with a bloodied thumb.

The I’m Like a Bird hitmaker, 45, hit the stage with Dom Dolla when she fell to the ground in front of thousands.

Furtado handled the incident like a true professional and kept on singing, before later showing off her injured thumb on her Instagram stories and laughing it off.

“Literally left it all on the stage… including my blood,” Furtado wrote on Instagram as she held up her thumb to the camera. She appeared to have pulled an acrylic nail.

”All for you @Domdolla,” she added.

The Maneater singer also shared a clip of herself falling on her Instagram stories and joked: “Eat your man… not the stage.”

The likes of Megan Fox, Paris Hilton and even Taylor Swift have been spotted at Coachella this year.

Furtado and Aussie musician Dom Dolla recently collaborated on the track Eat Your Man.

Dolla told Forbes she was the one who orchestrated their collab last year.

“She reached out to me out of the blue,” he said.

“She said she was a fan of my music and wanted some help with her original records.”

Furtado took a step back from music and the public spotlight after a nervous breakdown in 2006.

“I had a nervous breakdown on stage,” she told the Daily Mail in 2017.

“I was on the Loose tour [2007] and my daughter was with me – I was being a mum and a singer on the road. I was exhausted.”
