MARTIN Lewis’ MSE has issued an urgent warning to Subway fans to act now or lose their loyalty points.
Customers have weeks left to use their points before Subway shakes up its rewards scheme.

The fast-food chain are launching a new loyalty scheme and app on May 15.
Martin Lewis‘ MSE said punters will need to act urgently as any remaining points you have will not be moved over.
If you are a Subway Rewards member, you only have until the end of May 14 to spend any points you’ve built up – or lose them entirely.
To redeem your points before the shake-up, you need to visit a Subway store, say the financial experts.
If you have a physical loyalty card, you’ll need to download the Subway app and log in with your existing account details to redeem your freebies.
Within the app, go to the ‘Rewards’ tab at the bottom of your screen, find the item you want to claim and click ‘Redeem’.
Once you’ve done this, your virtual card will pop up with a QR code.
You’ll be able to scan this, or your physical card, at the till to redeem your reward.
But after May 14, you’ll need to download the new Subway Rewards app and log in with your existing details to continue earning points and rewards.
Currently, Subway’s loyalty scheme allows customers to collect points by scanning their app or card at the till when making a purchase.
For every pound spent, foodies can receive 10 loyalty points, as long as it is registered on the app.
If the card is not registered customers only get five points for every £1 spent.
Diners can then save up points for free food, with 100 points needed to get a hot drink, 200 points for a snack, 500 points for a six-inch sub and 1,000 points for a 12-inch sandwich.
It comes as the iconic fast food chain revealed it will be giving children their Subway’s Kids’ Meal for free when you buy any footlong sub.
The bargain offer includes a four-inch mini sub of ham, cheese, tuna, or Veggie Delite, and kids will also receive a drink.
Under the shake-up, bigger spenders will earn more points, which in turn means they’ll have to spend slightly less than others to earn rewards.
Everyone will also have more freedom on what to spend points on.
But depending on the prices at your local branch, you may now need to spend a lot more to earn enough points to get a reward.
According to MSE, this was the case for all seven of the examples we looked at based on someone spending less than £150 a year at Subway and the prices at our nearest store.
Of course, as with all loyalty schemes, don’t spend just to earn rewards.
This is simply an added perk for those who were going to make a planned purchase anyway.
A spokesperson for Subway said: “We value the loyalty of our guests and we’re excited that our new Subway Rewards programme will offer them a more personalised and unique loyalty experience.
“As points from our previous rewards system won’t transfer automatically, we want to ensure everyone has an opportunity to redeem their points.
“Therefore we encourage all our guests to enjoy their rewards ahead of our new programme launching on 15th May.”
