The Office star Mindy Kaling had a hilarious response to her unexpected run-in with royalty at a recent conference.
Kaling, 44, posed for a photo with none other than Prince Harry at the Uplift conference in San Francisco.
“Met my friend’s husband at a work event,” she captioned the Instagram pic, referring to fellow actress and the Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle.

Kaling previously appeared on Meghan’s cancelled Archetypes podcast.
“Seemed pretty cool. Said he wrote a book. Gonna go check it out!” she quipped about Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare.
In the pic, Harry had his arm around the comedian as they smiled for a photo together.
Kaling wore a tri-coloured cardigan and jeans to the event while the Duke of Sussex opted for a suit jacket and white button up shirt.
The comments section was inundated with messages from fans going wild over the unexpected collaboration.

“I love your friend, her husband, and you!!!” one person wrote.

Kaling is best known for portraying Kelly Kapoor on the US version of The Office and for being a creator on the shows Never Have I Ever and The Sex Lives of College Girls.

While this was Kaling’s first run-in with Prince Harry, she previously appeared on his wife’s since-cancelled podcast Archetypes in 2022.
Speaking to her Hollywood guest in the episode, Meghan opened up about her frustration over being told “you’re so lucky he chose you” after her engagement to Harry.
“Thankfully, I have a partner who was countering that narrative for me and going, ‘They’ve got it all wrong.’ I’m the lucky one ’cause you chose me’,” Meghan said.

The Duke of Sussex attended the summit this week held by BetterUp, a life coaching firm of which he is Chief Impact Officer.
Harry spoke on a panel on the Pressures of Today’s World and Modern Corporate Life in a session titled Beyond Burnout: Transforming C-Level Stress Into Strength.
Joining him onstage for the panel was Chairman of BetterUp’s Centre for Purpose and Performance, Dr. Adam Grant, as well as Chief People Officer of Cisco, Kelly Jones.
After attending the event, it was revealed Harry currently has two Netflix projects in the works with his wife Meghan.
