And Fury held a press conference in Morecambe to send a fierce warning to Usyk that he is in the shape of his life.
It is no wonder the Gypsy King’s team on the top table all predicted a destructive knockout in the historic undisputed decider.
But his dad John – brought into training camp as an advisor – had a more honest take on the bout.
He said: “It’s going to be a chess match. It’s going to be a boxing match between two great technicians.
“It could end up a bit of a boring fight to watch, because that’s what they do.”
The brutal honesty drew hysterics amongst the top table with Fury responding: “Get your tickets here, guys!”
Fury’s manager Spencer Brown quipped: “We’ve reduced the tickets now.”
After the laughing on stage, Fury, 35, got back to reality and credited Usyk, 37, for his two-weight world championship winning career.

He said: “It’s not personal. It’s strictly business for both fighters.
“There’s a lot of stuff on the line, but I don’t hate him. I respect him as a man, as a fighter.
“Anyone would have to respect the man’s achievements. He’s unified heavyweight champion, undisputed cruiserweight champion.”
