The 40-year-old was mid-flight to Canada when her butt-cheeks turned rock hard and she felt “something was wrong.”

“It started to hurt and I went to the bathroom and I felt my bum and it was really hard.

“I thought to myself ‘What’s going on?’”, she said.

Medics later discovered that polymers injected into Yered’s bum during a cosmetic procedure had leaked, infecting her tissue.

She said she had been told she was suffering from a rare condition known as ASIA syndrome, which stands for autoimmune/inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants.

Adjuvants are something – such as a drug or method – that enhances the effectiveness of medical treatment

It was first identified by the Israeli immunologist Yehuda Shoenfeld who said it was caused by an autoimmune overreaction to substances including silicone.

Victims can suffer from acute pain, fatigue, cognitive problems, neurological issues and a range of other ailments.

It was an amputation, it was a piece of flesh that was taken from me.

ASIA can happen anytime from two days to 23 years after exposure to substances that triggers it, such as silicone.

Tragically Yered is unable to see those responsible punished because she is unsure of when the silicone was injected into her butt during a number of cosmetic procedures.

She said that the only thing she knew for sure was that she had never agreed to such an operation, and was shocked that during one of the beauty procedures, the substance was injected.

Yered said: “I trusted a doctor to tune my body, and without warning they injected polymers into my buttocks, a substance that gave me the Asia Syndrome, which I will have to deal with for the rest of my existence.”

The performer – who boasts two million Instagram followers – appears in a video taken inside the Mexico City hospital where surgeons had to cut out nearly three-quarters of the tissue from her backside.

Social media footage of Yered shows her smiling bravely as she is being wheeled away on a gurney.

She said: “They amputated just the upper part, which was around four fingers width from both buttocks.

“That’s why I’m devastated, it was an amputation, it was a piece of flesh that was taken from me.

“But I can’t point to someone as responsible because I don’t know. But at no stage did anyone say to me ‘We’re going to inject this into your body’.

“Imagine my surprise, I went for a dream body and ended up in a medical nightmare.”

It comes as a mum who had plastic surgery to save her marriage was left with horrifying “smelly” wounds that caused her husband to walk out.

Dale Gaglio, 54, spent more than £12,000 on a boob job and tummy tuck after cruel bullies dubbed her “Dale the Whale” for years – but she was left “ripped open” by a botched surgeon.

And another mum shared the brutal and agonising ordeal she endured after flying to Turkey in search of her dream body.

Stephanie Briggs, 33, was left with green pus leaking from her boobs after a botched breast reduction procedure overseas.

Dangers of Cosmetic Surgery

ALTHOUGH many people will travel far and wide in search of the perfect body, the path to perfection is fraught with risk. Here are some of the most dangerous cosmetic procedures.

The Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

The BBL has been cited  as having the highest rate of death for any aesthetic procedure, with as many as one in 3,000 patients dying as a result of the surgery, according to Cosmetic Surgery Solicitors.

The procedure involves removing fat deposits from one part of the body and injecting this fat into the buttocks, in order for the butt to appear more “full” and “firm.”

The Tummy Tuck

Although a common surgery the Tummy Tuck can be very stressful on the body.

It involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the abdomen area, before the remaining skin is tightened to flatten the stomach.

This can result in an result in blood clots that could spread to the lungs, which can have serious consequences.

Liposuction

This is another procedure that is commonly thought to be a quick fix for losing weight.

People undergoing liposuction do so to have fat removed from specific areas of their body.

But if the surgery goes wrong it can have serious complications such as serious infections, blood clots, fat clogs in the lungs or perforation of the stomach wall.
