I found a wallet full of CASH in abandoned car at scrapyard – drivers must check every nook before flogging their motor

A SCRAPYARD owner found a wallet full of cash in an abandoned car – and advised people to check every nook before flogging their motor.

Cilas – who also runs YouTube channel Adventures Made From Scratch – explained in his video his dad had dropped off an “old Taurus” car that morning.

He then began looking through the motor, including flipping through the owner’s manual in the hopes of finding some loose cash.

But then, on opening the central console between the two front seats, he was pleasantly surprised.

“No way, is that a wallet?” he said. “Definitely looks like cash.”

He went on to say he’d wanted to open the wallet on camera.

He found the front section empty.

“Okay, now the moment of truth as to how much money is in here. This is nerve wracking. Oh, it’s just ones… We’ve got $15… Not bad at all,” said Cilas.

The video cut to him outside the car and he went on to say it was “kind of odd” that there was no IDs or cards but explained he often has his money in a separate place for “personal protection”.

Cilas mused he’d found someone’s “emergency stash” they kept hidden and had forgotten about.

He added: “It’s not a lot but, hey, that’ll buy a pretty good lunch… Finders keepers.”

On re-checking the car, Cilas also spotted a few loose coins and some “half-smoked” cigarettes under the seat.

“I’ve seen cigarettes catch fire before,” he warned.

He said the previous day he’d found a 1956 Canadian penny in one of the cars brought to his scrapyard.

At the end of the video, Clias said: “Remember to get out there and find adventure.”
