Pete Murray has taken to TikTok to share an extraordinary story.
The Aussie musician posted a video on Sunday, explaining the strange encounter he had following his gig at the Red Hot Summer Tour held at Roche Estate in the Hunter Valley.
Murray was just one of a list of artists performing that day, but there was a woman in the crowd who had shown up specifically to see him.

Eighteen years ago, the Better Days singer performed at that same location and had a guitar stolen from him. But this past weekend, he was reunited with his long lost friend.
However, he shared that it wasn’t returned by the man who originally stole it, but rather his ex-partner.
“So the lady had to steal it from her ex, and she wanted to get it back to me today so she brought it today, and I am rapt about that,” he said.

“That doesn’t happen very often. Eighteen years, I’ve not had this guitar for 18 years.
“It needs a bit of love and tenderness right now, but that’s pretty special.”
Murray held the guitar up in the video, showing that although it may have been a bit neglected over the past almost two decades, it had remained in its original case with all its original accessories.

“So, thank you to that lovely lady that got in touch, because I know that was probably a scary thing for you, thinking I might be pretty peeved off about it,” he said at the end of the video.
“I know you were telling me you were a little nervous about maybe I might have the police there to arrest you for stealing. But that didn’t happen.”
The singer went on to explain how grateful he was to have the guitar returned, saying he gave the lady a hug and once again thanked her “very much.”
