STELLAR STREAM (3.25 Ffos Las, nap)
There seems to be a regional National every week these days which is good news for Kayley Woollacott’s chaser who loves a proper test of stamina and can take the West Wales renewal. He showed that when winning the North Wales National at Bangor on Dee in February. He travelled nicely through the mud there and managed to pull out more despite a momentum stopping error at the final fence. That bodes well for his ability to go through what will surely be bottomless ground in Carmarthenshire today. He was a good fourth at Chepstow before his National exploits and is open to improvement over marathon distances.
ZIGGY’S MISSILE (2.40 Southwell, nb)
He was in winning form the last time he tackled this course and distance two runs ago. He then went down in a photo at Newcastle after trying to come from a mile back under Luke Morris. Silvestre De Sousa is a good booking in the saddle today and he can time their challenge to perfection.
MAKIN’YOURMINDUP (3.40 Plumpton, treble)
He has landed back-to-back wins at Newbury and sees out this sort of trip strongly. He was impressive at the Berkshire track last time when going from the front and never having a moment’s worry. That has seen him ticked 5lb up the weights but it wouldn’t have stopped him last time. He handles some cut in the ground and can give title-chaser Harry Cobden another winner for his boss Paul Nicholls.
BENY NAHAR ROAD (1.55 Plumpton, Lucky 15).
Cobden was almost knocked out of the saddle at Taunton last time when this five-year-old got the worst of a scrum turning for home. That was his handicap debut and he drops back into calmer novice waters here. He has enough pace for this trip and it’s still early days for this former Flat performer.
