Rumours about the cause of Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher sudden split have emerged just hours after the couple made their separation public.
The two actors, aged 52 and 48 respectively, announced their decision to part ways on Saturday (Australian time) with matching Instagram stories.
“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down,” they wrote, alongside a snap of them in tennis costumes.

“In 2023 we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change.”
Neither star chose to elaborate on what caused the split or share any further details.
Now, Us Weekly has reported that the couple were “at odds” over their work schedules and parenting commitments long before deciding to split.
One source told the outlet that Cohen and Fisher would fight “bitterly” over these topics, while another claimed to have seen the pair having a “heated argument” in public.
A third claimed the pair ”furiously argued” over juggling the demands of their acting careers with the needs of their three children.

This all reportedly occurred before the couple officially announced their split this week.
“They have been living separate lives since last year but wanted to give this space and time for their children to be OK with this before the news came out and they got all this attention,” another source told Us before the news broke.
However, insiders insist their decision to announce their separation now has nothing to do with Australian actress Rebel Wilson’s allegations about Cohen in her memoir, Rebel Rising.

In the book, she alleges Cohen was an ”a–hole” to work with on the set of The Brothers Grimsby in 2016. She later claimed that he tried to stop the release of her memoir.
Cohen, through a spokesperson, has denied Wilson’s claims, calling them “demonstrably false”.
Looking back, there were some signs that Cohen and Fisher were ”living separate lives”, such as the stars attending red-carpet events solo.
They originally met at a “pretentious” Sydney party in the early 2000s, where Fisher caught Cohen’s attention with her cheeky sense of humour.
Cohen popped the question in 2004 and they welcomed their first child in 2007, before finally tying the knot in 2010.
The actors had two more children together – a daughter in 2011 and a son in 2015 – and were married for almost 15 years before parting ways.
