AN expert mechanic has revealed a simple trick you can use to fix blown headlights in minutes and save hundreds on repair bills.
Scotty Kilmer, who has been working on motors for over half a century, shared the helpful hack on his YouTube channel.

In the clip, he explained how you can tell if your headlight issues are caused by a simple electrical problem, for which there is a “quick fix”.
He said: “Go to your fuse box, take the top off and check the one that says headlight.
“I check them electronically as a mechanic but you can just pull them out.”
The fuse box is usually located near the battery in your engine bay.
It differs by make and model but it will generally have a plastic lid that can be easily lifted off to examine the fuses within.
A blown fuse is, fortunately, much simpler and cheaper to replace than your full headlight.
You could end up saving hundreds by not missing the tiny issue.
And Scotty also shared an easy way to spot whether or not the fuse is the culprit.
He added: “If it’s continuous inside, then the fuse hasn’t blown.
“[But if] you can see it’s all burnt out inside, it’s not good.
“Fortunately most cars have spares in the fuse box so you can just put it right in.”
However, if the fuse blows again immediately, this reveals that there is a short-circuit somewhere in the headlight, which will require a professional to fix.
If not, though, Scotty says you can go months before you encounter another problem, even on older cars.
