A STUNNING £160million “Jurassic Park” private racetrack was built by a billionaire so he could “take his family”.

The Magarigawa Club in Japan is found in the mountains of Chiba – roughly an hour by car from Tokyo – and is the first private track in Asia.

Open to members only, the private track in the side of a mountain opened on July 29 last year and overlooks Mt. Fuji and Tokyo Bay.

It boasts 22 corners with about 20 percent of the track uphill and 16 percent downhill.

At 2.17 miles long, the racetrack was designed by F1 circuit designer Hermann Tilke.

It even had Top Gear’s Tom Brown over to cruise round it in a 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which he says is his dream car.

And it has been described as “Jurassic Park with a racetrack in it” by Top Gear.

Billed as the “world’s only luxury driving club” the Masgarigawa is said to blow resorts in Europe and the US out of the water.

The main building itself is the work of Tatsuya Ogawa of Tokyo-based architectural firm 16A, inspired by renowned architectural style Shinden-zukuri.

It’s been rumoured that the billionaire behind the prestigious Magarigawa Club wanted a racetrack where he could take his wife and two daughters.

As he didn’t think there was a place fit for that – and with cash an abundance – he decided to build his own.

A video for Top Gear Magazine says the Magarigawa could be the “greatest private race track in the world”.

It boasts scenic 800 metres of straightaways and is found in the mountains of Minamiboso in Chiba.

The club itself has a climate-controlled indoor pit lane staffed by mechanics ready for any of its members who fancy a drive.

If visitors don’t fancy going for a drive, the club also has an infinity pool, place to eat, gym, and even a karaoke room.

Located in the side of a mountain, the track is appropriate for those who aren’t exactly pros and even offers low-speed cruising.

For those with less experience, it’s also a place where you can explore limits in relative safety, learn, and become better.

There’s driver training on offer, mechanical oversight and repeatability.

It comes as we covered seven top-selling Japanese cars from the Noughties that you can buy for less than £10,000 – including an iconic Honda and a “rare” convertible.

It’s not always easy finding a reliable and long-lasting car, but Japanese manufacturers have produced some classics over the years.

Meanwhile, a man who lives three metres from a legendary race track where cars can reach 190mph has spoken out about his unique residence.

He has even revealed it is like an earthquake each time a car comes past his property.

Tucker’s six-bedroom house sits on the Conrod Straight at Mount Panorama in Australia.

The property lies so close to the track that visitors are told not to stand too close to the fence in case a car loses control.
