Sweet as candy! Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith are the proud parents of two sons and they’ve been giving the world a glimpse into their family life ever since they welcomed son Gus in 2021.
The This Is Us alum announced the arrival of her firstborn in February 2021 with a close-up shot of his blue onesie. “Gus is here,” the actress captioned the social media upload. “Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith. He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined.”
The New Hampshire native went on to write later that same week that she and the Dawes frontman had “settled on” their newborn’s name months ahead of his birth.
“For our anniversary in November, T gifted me with this [August] blanket with the ‘A’ (for Amanda) made from extra material from my wedding dress and ‘T’ (for Taylor) from his wedding shirt,” the singer — whose first name is Amanda — wrote via Instagram. “Felt like a very fitting amalgamation of our whole story. I can’t wait to pass this on to our sweet August one day.”
The couple wed in November 2018 in Los Angeles, one year after their engagement. Two years later, they announced that they were starting a family.
“Baby boy Goldsmith coming early 2021,” Moore wrote via Instagram in September 2020.
Four years later, the Tangled star announced that she and Goldsmith were expecting a second bundle of joy. The family shared their happy news on social media, with a photo of Gus wearing a “big brother” shirt.
“One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start … and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited,” the “Candy” songstress wrote via Instagram in June 2022.
In October 2022, Moore welcomed her second child and announced the news on social media with a series of black and white photos of her and her family.
“Ozzie is here!” the Princess Diaries actress wrote via Instagram at the time. “Oscar Bennett Goldsmith arrived a little late but with much aplomb (and an easier/speedier delivery than his big brother, much to the delight of his parents). Every adage is true: our hearts have doubled in size and the immediacy of the love is astounding. He is beyond words and we are so grateful for our family of four! .”
