But after analysis of Lossiemouth’s win ended that was it for ITV, despite there still being two races left to run.

ITV replaced their Cheltenham Festival coverage with an episode of Tipping Point, which left fans confused.

One reacted saying: “ITV racing is a joke can’t even show the full card of the biggest meeting of the year, Tipping Point has ITV in a choke hold.”

Another added: “Nothing worse than ITV saying time for Tipping Point when there are two races left pissed me off every year.”

A third wrote: “Eh why is Tipping Point on? How do I watch the rest of the races? #Cheltenham”

And another commented: “ITV have stopped showing the racing to put Tipping Point: Best Ever Finals on #ITV #Cheltenham”

But fans should not have been surprised as ITV always end their festival coverage earlier.

In years gone by punters have had to flick over to other channels to watch the last races of the day.

And that will be the case for the remainder of the festival, with ITV set to end their broadcast after the Challenge Cup Open Hunters’ Steeple Chase.
