North West, daughter to Kim Kardashian and Ye West (formerly known as Kayne), has begun to make a name for herself.
The 10-year-old has announced she has started working on her debut album, following the release of her dad’s single TALKING (feat. North West).
North made a surprise appearance at a listening event for Ye’s new album Vultures 2, the crowd was immediately excited to see her.

While the attention was on North, she began her announcement: “I’ve been working on an album…”
The moment was cut off by the audience cheering, but eventually North continued, revealing the name of her new album.
“[It’s] called Elementary School Dropout.”

The title is a reference to Ye’s album College Dropout, which launched him into Hip Hop success in 2004.
An already established producer at the time, this album allowed him to become a successful musician, selling 3.4 million copies in tne years.
North’s first feature on the album Vultures 1 peaked at No. 30 on the Hot 100 and No.1 on the Billboard 200, a massive success for a debut.

She gave fans the iconic lyrics, “We gonna take over the year for another year. It’s your bestie, Miss, Miss Westie, Don’t tryna test me, it’s gonna get messy.”
Her feature quickly went viral on social media, becoming a trending TikTok sound.
North also performed her verse in the official music video, which saw her singing the lyrics whilst getting her hair done.
An emerging star, she made her first live performance in March 2020, singing at Ye’s Yeezy Season 8 fashion show in Paris.
She gave the famed shoutout to the cousin and daughter of Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick, Penelope Disick.
In an episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, mother Kim said the moment brought her to tears.
“So to see her up there, my nerves are just, like, I honestly start crying because I’m, just, I’m happy for her, but I’m so nervous for her.”

“I’m so proud of how confident she is,” said Kim.
“She obviously gets that from her dad, and it just makes me so happy that she’s not afraid to try anything.
“That, to me, was so much fun to see. You know, she’s just so fearless, and I love that about her, and I’m such a proud mum.”
