Arsenal’s 6-0 drubbing of the Blades was a the perfect example of the growing gap between the relegation battlers and the title challengers in the Premier League this season.
It took Mikel Arteta’s side just five minutes to take the lead when Martin Odegaard guided his effort into the back of the net.
And things began to snowball from there as an own goal by Jayden Bogle and a third from Gabriel Martinelli followed in the next ten minutes.
Just 15 minutes in and Sheffield United were 3-0 down – that was enough for some Blades fans.
A slew of supporters began to head for the exits having seen enough in the opening spell to know they were going to watch their side be put to the sword.
And Chris Wilder took action too making an unforced change just 17 MINUTES into the game when he replaced Oliver Norwood with Ben Osborn.
However the damage limitation technique did nothing as the Gunners netted a fourth just eight minutes later through Kai Havertz and a fifth from Declan Rice before the half-time whistle.
A much more tame second half saw Arsenal score just one more goal to add the cherry on top of their three points through Ben White.

Arsenal have now scored an astonishing 31 goals in their last seven Premier League games as they add what could be invaluable goal difference to their tally in a tight title race.
The Gunners are also the first team in Premier League history to win three consecutive away games by five or more goals in the history of the competition.
Sheffield United on the other hand sit rock bottom of the table and will have one eye on life back in the Championship with a great escape looking almost impossible at this point.
