I’m an Emirates air hostess & have to wear special pyjamas on a plane – here’s why it could be dangerous without them

AN EMIRATES air hostess has revealed the reason why cabin crew have to wear special pyjamas on planes.

Danielle Molyneux, from Cheshire, also stated why it could be dangerous not to wear them whilst on duty.

In a previous video uploaded onto TikTok, the flight attendant had listed the pyjamas as one of the little known facts about the Emirates uniform.

“We must wear our company issued pj’s during our crew rest on long haul flights when we take our break,” she said.

But the stunning reveal left people completely baffled and demanding an explanation as to why they were mandatory for staff.

One person even said “the pyjamas blow my mind”, doubting that customers aren’t going to see staff in their nightwear.

As a result, Danielle (@danidboyy1) uploaded a follow-up video explaining why the airline’s staff are given the pyjamas and why they must wear them.

“During long-haul flights, cabin crew will change into pyjamas and take their break,” she began in the second video.

“If an emergency should occur while crew are on their break and they don’t have time to change into their normal uniform, they can be easily identified to customers.”

Having given an explanation for the pyjamas, viewers quickly changed from being confused to impressed.

“I love this,” one person said.

“That’s a good idea. Surprised all long haul airlines don’t do this,” added another.

A third commented: “That’s so cool of the company to have a practically versatile uniform range that maintains its iconic brand look.”

Elsewhere, a former flight attendant has revealed the signs to look for if you think something is going wrong on your flight.

Lisa Hughes, 43, revealed that crew would be talking to the pilots if something was to go wrong as one of the first things.

And another former flight attendant revealed the reason passengers should always book the 5am flight – even if you hate getting up early.

With Brits already booking their summer holidays, many might find picking the earliest flight off-putting.
