A WEIRD world of “mini cars” which cost more than the real cars has been unveiled – including a £41,000 “Ferrari” barely big enough for a kid.
A motors maker has crafted detailed replicas of iconic sport cars that are exactly like the full-sized original models.

UK-based company Amalgam, known for creating the most intricate miniature cars, has unveiled a line of Ferrari, Lamborghini and Aston Martin.
Manufacturers have crafted the little cars to perfection based on plans of the original models – including original CAD data, engineering drawings and even paint codes.
Experts used high-resolution pictures and digital snaps to land the perfect mini replicas.
Each 1:8 scale car boasts up to 450 of meticulous work.
Amalgam bosses said: “We will create for you a superbly and deeply detailed model replicating every aspect of your car’s specification.
“We will finish the model with the precise colour of the paint and the interior finishes.
“Even the smallest details including for example the colour of the stitching on the seats, the license plates, the wheels, every visible aspect of your car will be perfectly reproduced on your model.”
Drivers can snap up the kids-sized cars for jaw-dropping prices that can soar up to £30,000.
FERRARI 250 GTO

The £41,750 Ferrari is a 1:4 scale of the original Ralph Lauren’s sports car from 2009.
The rare motor is only 42.5 inches long with a weight of around 5 kg.
According to Amalgam manufacturers, the mini car has been “hammered from aluminium sheet” and hand-made details.
They said: “We have created several perfectly detailed models of the car at 1:8, but to fully honour the beauty of the body form we have now created a hand hammered aluminium replica of the 250 GTO body at a quarter the size of the original.
“Each piece has been created from aluminium sheet using traditional panel-beating methodology, forming the panels over a buck, exactly as the original full-size bodies were created by Carozzerie Scaglietti in the early 1960s.”
LAMBORGHINI COUNTACH LP400 (1974)

The £14,835 miniature car is a limited edition made of 199 pieces.
The 20-inches model is based on the first generation of Countach – boasting a 4 litre V12 and 370 horsepower.
The handcrafted yellow figure includes castings, photo-etchings and CNC metal parts.
BUGATTI TYPE 59

This Bugatti Type 59 has been 3D printed and hand-painted in Venice.
The rare model is just 20 inches long – and it can fit in the palm of your hand.
For a whopping £20,755 motorists can also get their hands on a miniature 1935 Belgian GP driven by Jean-Pierre Wimille figure.
FERRARI 250 LM

The sports car was Ferrari’s last model to scoop the victory at Le Mans in 1965.
The rare miniature is one of just 22 models which have been hand-painted and detailed to imitate the car raced by Masten Gregory and Jochen Rindt at the Circuit de la Sarthe.
The model is 20 inches long and is selling for a staggering £17,375.
FORD GT40

The 1:8 scale Ford GT40 comes in just 40 pieces and boasts details manufactured in Bristol.
The car is cased on chassis 1075 and it was raced to victory by Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver in the 24 Hours of Le Mans at Circuit de la Sarthe in 1969.
Figurine lovers can nab the car for £17,375.
The models also come with an archive quality A1 portrait size Giclée print of the car after its race victory.
MERCEDES-AMG F1

The Mercedes-AMG was originally unveiled at the Silverstone Circuit with Hamilton and Russell in February 2022.
But this hand-built replica is only 27 inches long – and it was made using thousands of engineered parts.
The mini car boasts the original CAD design and paint codes from the original Mercedes Petronas Formula 1 Team.
The miniature is selling for a whopping £8,495.
Manufacturers said: “This model was created by the Amalgam Collection, in collaboration with the Memento Group.
“These exquisite models have been developed in the workshops of Amalgam with the assistance of Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team regarding CAD data, original finishes, materials and original drawings.
“The Mercedes-AMG F1 W13 E Performance has been crafted under licence from Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix Limited.”
