Rugby star scores ‘best try ever’ after running full length of pitch in incredible solo effort as fans say ‘holy s***’

PENIASI DAKUWAQA stunned fans by scoring the “best try ever” over the weekend.

The Stade Francais star, 26, was in Top 14 rugby action against Racing 92.

He somehow raced through to score

During the match, the Fijian collected the ball by his own try line.

He then dodged a tackle under his own posts before embarking on an incredible run.

In what was later described as a “flash of genius” by the Top 14’s social media accounts, Dakuwaqa chipped the ball beyond an opponent.

The winger then turned on the afterburners, collecting his own kick and riding a tackle to burst free down the right flank.

At this point there was no catching him, with Dakuwaqa showing astonishing speed and athleticism to race through.

After setting the ball down he lay in a triumphant heap as he was congratulated by his amazed team-mates.

Following Stade Francais’ 27-11 win, Dakuwaqa’s incredible moment went viral.

Seeing a clip of his try, one fan wrote on social media: “This might be the best rugby try ever, holy s***…”

Stade Francais’ win kept them at the summit of the Top 14 table with 50 points from 16 games.

Their opponents Racing 92 are ten points back, having won eight and lost eight this term.
