JORDAN HENDERSON’S season hit a new low as he was dropped by Ajax.
The England star had a difficult first half of the campaign at Al-Ettifaq, failing to settle in Saudi Arabia.

He made the move to Ajax in January and has since played four times for the club.
Henderson, 33, even captained the side last week in the 2-2 draw against NEC Nijmegen.
But for Ajax’s trip to AZ Alkmaar this afternoon, Henderson was dropped to the bench.
Manager John van’t Schip changed formation for the game, going from a back four to a three-man defence.
And Henderson was the midfielder who made way to allow for the tactical tweak.
The ex-Liverpool skipper missed the dramatic extra-time Conference League win over Bodo/Glimt on Thursday with a knock, which he could still be feeling today.
Henderson sat on the bench alongside ex-Arsenal star Chuba Akpom and former Manchester City wonderkid Carlos Forbs.
Ajax are currently 1-0 down to AZ Alkmaar.

The goal came from Mark van Bommel’s 19-year-old son Ruben.
Henderson is yet to convince every fan at his new club, including legend Rafael van der Vaart.
He said: “Ajax have brought in players with zero quality. The club will now have to see out the rest of the season.
“They have brought in Jordan Henderson. All he does is to play a little pass out wide, or a little pass back.
“But nobody will be happy with that.”
