Man Utd ‘preparing £60m bid to land Juventus superstar, 26, to replace Raphael Varane in summer window’

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly readying a monster bid for a new centre-back.

The Red Devils have struggled at the back this season with Raphael Varane failing to recreate his form from previous years.

The Frenchman has been linked with an exit from Old Trafford with Saudi Arabian and Italian teams interested in the 30-year-old.

And according to Tuttosport, United are ready to formalise a £60m offer for Juventus defender Gleison Bremer as his replacement.

They claim that United’s interest in the 26-year-old is growing in strength and the Manchester giants are ready to test the nerve of Juventus.

Bremer has been impressing with the Old Lady since his £37m move from Torino in 2022.

The Brazilian had played every minute of every game for Juve in the league this season before missing their most recent clash with a yellow card suspension.

However it is understood that the Serie A outfit are unable to rule out an exit for Bremer with the possibility of a hefty offer being thrown their way.

And Bremer himself hasn’t ruled out the possibility of an exit from Turin and even admitted his admiration of the Premier League.

Speaking earlier this season he said: “The Premier League is an exciting championship, I would like to play there one day.

“But I’m only focused on Juventus to win in black and white, we are one of the best teams in the world.”

Man Utd are readying themselves for a busy summer after the £1.03bn takeover from Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos.

The 13-time Premier League champions are said to be shifting a focus on to data for their transfer identification and will be looking to sign younger players too.

Crystal Palace star Michael Olise is one star that has been linked with a move to the Theatre of Dreams as they prepare for a fresh era under their new 25 per cent ownership.
