A PETROLHEAD has found three abandoned Porsches outside a mechanic’s workshop and unearthed a mystery surrouding one of the motor’s owners.
Car enthusiast TJ Lamb of TikTok fame MagnaCars posted a video to his channel explaining the bizarre situation after trying to buy a classic 911.

In the clip, TJ explained that he saw a Porsche 911 sat outside a German car specialists workshop one year ago.
Although the TikToker doesn’t reveal the shop’s location, it’s presumably somewhere in Canada where he currently resides.
The brown motor, which looks similar to the Type 930 model of the 1980s, appears to need some minor bodywork repairs – with one of the headlights seemingly missing.
He reveals that a year later, he was driving past the mechanic’s shop and spotted the same Porsche parked in the exact same spot as before.
Intrigued, and wondering if he could purchase the retro car, TJ ventures inside the shop to ask the owner if it was available to buy.
Porsche 911: Five things to know
The first 911 rolled off the production lines in 1964
It is one of the brand’s most popular models, with over two million sold in the last 50 years
The model placed fifth in the Car of the Century list compiled in 1999
The current base model starts at £97,000
It was originally called the 901, but Porsche had to change the name as it clashed with a Peugeot model that was already in production
While there, he also spots two more classic Porsches – a black 944 S and an interesting 928 with eye-catching BBS wheel trims.
In a conversation with the shop’s owner that he managed to record on camera, TJ discovers that the 911 is owned by someone who seemingly “doesn’t care” about it, while the 944 is currently being worked on for another customer.
But when he asked about the availability of the 928, TJ learned that the motor’s owner “disappeared off the face of the earth“, and could be for sale if TJ is “able to get a hold of them” – but for now it’s stuck in the mechanic shop’s car park.
TJ later learns that the 911 has a “computer module” issue that causes its engine to spark, with the mechanic reportedly waiting to get hold of the necessary part before finally completing the repair work.
Disappointed, TJ says that he’ll be “back next year” to see if he can buy the gorgeous 911 then.
Classic Porsche 911’s are much-loved by enthusiasts and are incredibly pricey; a quick search online suggest a model from the 1980s could sell for anything upwards of £55,000.
Interestingly, Wheeler Dealers host Mike Brewer came across an abandoned Porsche 911 earlier this month.
The TV star spotted the run-down motor on X, with other social media users branding its neglect “a shame”.
