The savvy mum, who shared the trick in a video on TikTok, said it is one of her “favourite hacks for the car”.

In the video posted on the channel majormumhacks, the woman can be seen using an art caddy to hold snacks and drinks for her little toddlers.

“We love using art caddy’s for snacks and food in the car,” she says in the video, showing how the simple item can turn out to be a great hack to prevent food from spilling

She added: “Whether you’re travelling for a family holiday, or you’re coming back from swimming, they [art caddies] go on top of each other so they pack away nice and neatly and don’t take up room in the car.

“They stop the car from getting a mess, and it’s a lot easier for the kids to hold all their food and snacks.

“All the crumbs and sauces stay in the caddy, and not all over your car and on the floor.”

Not only is it a brilliant hack, but it is dirt cheap as well since art caddies sell for as little as £2.50 at online retailers like Dunlem.
