Falling satellite updates — ERS-2 antenna soaring to Earth as the highest chance of where it will crash is revealed

A LARGE satellite is expected to fall into Earth’s atmosphere today, but experts aren’t exactly sure where the object is expected to crash.

The satellite weighs in at over 5,000 lbs, but most of it is expected to burn up when it enters the Earth’s atmosphere.

However, there is a chance the 115lb antenna could remain intact and crash on Earth.

There is a high chance that the object will land in the ocean as water covers about 70 percent of the planet.

The European Space Agency has predicted the satellite will enter the atmosphere at around 10:49 EST.
