Arsenal raise season ticket prices for second year in a row as furious fans ask ‘how can they justify this?’

ARSENAL have increased their season ticket prices for the second successive campaign.

The Gunners today announced their raised prices for the 2024-25 campaign, much to fans’ frustration.

Fans in the upper tier will, on average, have to fork out an extra £113 per season.

While those sitting in the lower tier will be made to pay a further £103.

Fans sitting in the “Centre Upper” section of the Emirates will be charged a staggering £2,050 for their general admission season ticket.

The cheapest adult season ticket will be situated in the wing, corner and goal lower sections, costing a eye-watering £1,073.

Confirming their prices, Arsenal wrote in a statement: “Our ambition is to continue competing at the highest level and investing in our teams in an environment where costs continue to rise.

“We are also continuing to make investments to improve the matchday experience for our supporters at Emirates Stadium.”

Last year Arsenal rose their prices by five per cent ahead of the current 2023-24 campaign.

Reacting to the news, the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust wrote in a statement: “We are disappointed Arsenal chose to reject our call for a freeze in ticket prices given the club will benefit from playing more home matches next season.

“These proposals mean a supporter buying an Arsenal season ticket for 2024/25 will pay approximately 10% more than this season.

“This size of increase is unnecessary at a time when club revenues from broadcast and commercial revenues will increase by up to £150m over two seasons to exceed a predicted half a billion pounds during this current season.

“Most disappointingly the club could have mitigated the impact of this price increase by making available the option of purchasing a 19-game Premier League-only season ticket for those who wanted it, as happens at the vast majority of Premier League clubs.

“Previous discussions with the Club had been positive about this option and we will continue to press for this for the 2025/26 season.”

Only Fulham and Tottenham offered a more expensive general admission season ticket than Arsenal this term.

The Cottagers charged an astonishing £3,000 for season tickets in their new Riverside Stand.

While Spurs fans paid up to £2,025 for their season tickets.
