ONE happy shopper has taken full advantage of Morrisons’ latest deal on Easter eggs, buying nineteen chocolate goodies in a single day.

One chocolate lover shared the good news with Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK this week.

She wrote: “Easter eggs 75p morrisons with a more card.”

A picture of the advertisement showed that the 96g to 129g Easter eggs had indeed been reduced in price from £1.50 to 75p for those with a More card.

Among the types of eggs included in the sale are, according to the photo, Cadbury Mini Eggs, KitKat, Smarties, Maltesers, Cadbury Buttons, Cadbury White Buttons, and Cadbury Freddo.

One person wrote beneath the post: “I’m well happy got 19 today. Now to store them lol.”

Hundreds of others commented on the post in less than 24 hours, tagging their friends and sharing in the excitement.

A Morrisons shopper said: “Got 30 today. Don’t worry though everyone of them was donated.”

Another said: “Just eaten one.”

The offer is expected to run until February 21.

Morrisons’ Milton Keynes leisure plaza store earlier gave a sneak peek of the brands that would be included in the deal.

A full list has now been revealed and is as follows:

Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons

Cadbury Dairy Milk Freddo

Cadbury Dairy Milk White Buttons

Cadbury Mini Eggs

KitKat Chunky

Smarties

Maltesers

The discount is only available to shoppers who are members of the free Morrisons loyalty scheme.

Non-members will be charged the full price of £1.50.

The Sun this week revealed Morrisons is one of the most affordable places to buy Lindt Easter eggs.

Crowd favourite Lindor Milk Chocolate Egg Plus 215g, a larger chocolate egg with mini eggs inside, is currently available at Morrisons for £10.

The Lindor Milk Chocolate Egg 260g and the Lindor Milk Chocolate Egg With Salted Caramel Truffles 260g are both £12.50.

Morrisons shoppers can also snap up Lindt’s Milk Chocolate Easter Egg with Gold Bunny Salted Caramel for £10 and its Milk Chocolate Egg & Double Chocolate Truffles for £12.50.

Meanwhile, the supermarket has introduced a “yummy” range of hot cross buns for just £1.25, which comprises flavours Double Chocolate and Orange, Lemon Drizzle, and Mature Cheddar and Red Leicester.

How can I save money shopping at Morrisons?

You don’t need to buy surplus stock to save money on your food bill – you could just sign up for Morrisons’ loyalty card scheme.

Instead of getting points, shoppers receive digital coupons that can be used for instant savings in stores.

Shoppers don’t currently earn anything on their shopping, but get “personalised offers” and coupons to get money off their groceries.

Last year, the supermarket launched a “basket bonus” which rewarded shoppers who scanned their My Morrisons card or barcode on the app at checkout.

Members of the My Morrisons loyalty scheme can also take advantage of exclusive member-only discounts.

Customers just need to make sure they scan their physical loyalty card or the My Morrisons app at checkout to see the savings.

The discounted products are available at all 498 Morrisons stores.

Shoppers who aren’t members of the loyalty scheme will have to pay normal prices and won’t get access to the exclusive discounts.
