I make £800 a month with my easy side hustle – essentially I’m driving a free car… & anyone can do it

A WOMAN who makes £800 a month with an easy side hustle has revealed she essentially drives a free car.

After doing her research, she splashed on a Mercedes GLA automatic and signed up for the car-sharing marketplace Turo last year.

The handy app is a car hire and sharing marketplace and Daniela quickly realised she could make money by renting out her car to people.

The savvy whizz hoped to make money through rental bookings to pay for the vehicle.

She is now earning enough cash to cover the monthly repayments, insurance – and she is still able to bag some money.

The 31-year-old told GB News: “At the moment, essentially I’m driving a free car,” Daniela told GB News, explaining she simply marks the car as unavailable if she needs to use it on a particular day.

“It’s great. It is covering the monthly cost on top of giving me an additional £300.”

She is now forking out £800 a month by just renting the car up to 15 days a month.

Daniela added: “In general, I’ve been able to manage my side business plus my normal work. It is manageable.

“You just have to be quite organised, making sure as soon as the car is returned you do your part. Don’t leave it to the last minute.”

The motorist also offers airport pick-up and drop-off service for travellers from abroad.

Although it can take up more time to organise, she claimed the money is still worth the effort.

The car-owner now hopes to expand her small business and buy another car car.

She said: “There is great potential to earn and I think it can definitely turn into a full-time income. Hopefully this year I can maybe buy another car or two.”

TIPS FOR CAR-SHARING

Daniela recommended drivers to start car-sharing to earn a extra cash – she revealed the top tips to kick-start your small business.

You have to have good customer service. She urges car owners to always reply to messages and answering questions from potential customers on the app.
Invest in professional photographs of the car. People can tell the difference between amateur pictures and expert ones. Drivers should go an extra mile to attract more customers.
You should be organised. As a small business owner you have to be on top of any invoices – including congestion charges and maintenance fees.
Always ensure your car is safe to drive.

But there are other ways you can make extra money each month.

An easy side hustle can make you £4,000 a year with a little-known parking hack – and it requires no effort.

People can now rent out their driveways in what is being classed as a “flourishing business”.

Meanwhile, a teenager revealed how the car detailing business he set up when he was 14 now nets him thousands a week and sees him mix with Premier League stars.

David Herodotou, 18, was just trying to earn some extra cash during the pandemic but has seen his enterprise grow beyond his wildest dreams.

The young entrepreneur now earns up to £3,500 a week through detailing, along with his own car dealership and a number of side hustles.
