Beyonce teases ‘new music’ in Super Bowl LVII ad

Beyoncé has hinted at plans to drop new music in a Super Bowl ad.

The Verizon ad aired just after halftime, and started with the superstar filming a music video, before being handed her phone.

Having supposedly “broke the internet” with leaked footage of the music video, Beyoncé then says, “it’s coming in hot,” to which her manager replies, “well it’s Verizon 5G, the network is incredibly powerful.”

The singer then embarks on a mission to prove that she can indeed break the internet.

The minute-and-a-half ad takes us through several of Beyoncé’s eras, as she tries to prove that she can, in fact, take down the Verizon network.

We see her as a Twitch streamer with the username IamSlayoncé, a robot named Beyonc-AI, and as a star in the Bar-Bey movie.

She then goes on to announce her run for “Beyoncé of the United States”, and become, “the first woman to launch the first rocket for the first performance in Space”.

But no matter what the Crazy In Love singer tries, she seemingly cannot break the network.

That’s until right at the end of the ad, where we see the Verizon logo appear as Beyoncé says, “okay they ready, drop the new music”.

The superstar hasn’t released new music since July of 2022, when she treated the world to her critically acclaimed album Renaissance.

She then took the album on tour, with her first show kicking off on May 10, 2023 in Stockholm, Sweden.

The tour concluded in October of 2023, with her last show in Kansas City, Missouri.

And while we thought the singer had been taking a well-deserved break for the last five months, it seems she may have been busy in the studio recording new music.

While there’s been no official announcement from Beyoncé or her team, it feels safe to assume that there is indeed something in the works.
