Mark Ruffalo and Jennifer Garner recreate Suddenly 30’s Thriller dance

As actor Mark Ruffalo received his Hollywood Walk of Fame star, his Suddenly 30 costar Jennifer Garner celebrated in a very special way.

As she came up to the podium to deliver her speech, Ruffalo initiated an off-the cuff Thriller dance, recreating the iconic scene from Suddenly 30, which Garner amusingly joined.

His initiation raised eyebrows, as Garner described his absolute reluctance to do it in the actual film, even wanting to “drop out” from the project because of it.

The actresses credited herself with the creation of “rom-com Ruffalo”, wondering if her fellow actresses “would agree that Mark owes this rom-com success to the scruffy hair, the untucked, cute button-down, both of which became the norm for cute guys everywhere for the next 20 years.”

Her speech later turned more heartfelt as she told him his “real success is in how thrilled and delighted your colleagues are to have the opportunity to lift you up and celebrate you. Every time your name is called, Hollywood takes a deep collective breath and says, ‘OK, the good and right thing has happened.’
