I found three hidden features inside my VW including quicker way to warm up the seats – does your car have the same?

A DRIVER has revealed three hidden features that they discovered in their VW, including a quicker way to warm up the seats.

The motoring expert, who works at Maryland-based dealership Ourisman Car, explained how to access the nifty extras in a TikTok video.

First of all, he revealed that the VW ID 4 model he was showing off includes hidden pockets for passengers.

The pouches are set into the back of the front seats and are ideal for storing smaller items like a phone or a set of keys.

When they aren’t in use, they could easily be mistaken for just a normal part of the fabric seat lining.

But run your fingers along the material just below the headrest and you will find you can open them up along a near-invisible seam.

The second hidden feature is for when you are putting the motor in reverse and is especially useful on a rainy day.

If you put your windscreen wipers on, they will automatically run across the windscreen as normal.

But by simply putting the car into reverse, the rear window wiper will be automatically triggered.

This saves you valuable time and concentration, particularly when trying to back into a tight parking space.

It’s also accompanied by the ID4’s rear-view camera for extra assistance.

Finally, the expert showed off a time-saving hack for turning on the heated seats.

He explained: “This is one I just found out about today.

“Typically, turning your heated seats on in a Volkswagen is a two-step process.

“You’ve got to click the seat warmer, which takes you to the climate control and then you press it.”

However, what many owners might not know is that there is an in-built shortcut in the form of two discreet buttons on the corner of the infotainment bank.

Simply press them down together and it’ll turn your seat warmer on instantly.

This is great for when you have your sat nav on and you don’t want to risk missing your route as you try and warm up.

And there’s a second set with an identical function on the passenger side too.

It comes after a pothole vigilante was left facing trouble after taking matters into his own hands when he grew sick of the state of Britain’s roads.
