The person filming rubs the shoe cleaner on his windscreen and he manages to defrost it in seconds.
When used to clean shoes or boots you fill the container with warm water and the same applies here.
The video title reads: “Tag someone who needs to grab a Boot Buddy.”
While the caption reads: “How to defrost your car in seconds.”
The video has more than 790,000 views and 8,000 likes.
Some viewers think there are better ways of defrosting your car.
One said: “We all have our own ways of clearing ice off windows.
“I use a hot water bottle sometimes and also use a scrapper. Depending on how cold it gets.”
Another said: “With the weather, we had the other day that wouldn’t work even de-ice it was really freezing.
“I just used boiling water in a Ziploc bag worked like a charm.”
Another viral hack on TikTok is using warm water in a plastic bag or water bottle.
But, it pays to never use boiling water because it could shatter your windscreen.
Drivers should keep in mind that Rule 229 of the Highway Code states: “Drivers must be able to see, so clear all snow and ice from all your windows.
“Make sure that your mirrors are clear and the windows are demisted thoroughly.”
If drivers fail to demist their windscreen, they can be fined up to £1,000 and get three points on their licence.
