However, the Cottagers have agreed to sign Broja from their West London rivals.

The deal includes a £4million loan fee – reportedly with conditions regarding the number of minutes he plays for Fulham.

However, If Broja does not play a certain number of games when fit and available then Fulham could be forced to pay more.

Wolves had hoped to land the forward until the end of the season after agreeing the same terms with Chelsea.

Broja has instead chosen to stay in west London.

The signing is Marco Silva’s first of the January transfer window.

According to The Athletic, AC Milan also launched an approach before financial constraints scuppered any potential deal.

The Italian giants could still return for Broja in the summer.
