‘Nobody will know it isn’t worth £100,000’ says car-buying expert with cheap used motor that’ll ‘make you look rich’

A CAR-buying expert has revealed a cheap used motor that “will make you look rich”.

A popular motoring expert has recommended a model that will make drivers look richer than they are and will save their coins.

Matt, from YouTube channel High Peak Autos lifted the lid on the best good quality used vehicles you can snap up for a reasonable price.

Drivers who want to live a sporting life while being on a budget, Matt recommends to invest in a Maserati.

In a video he said: “We’re heading to Italy for this one, with Maserati. Well, you’re probably wondering ‘Which Maserati Matt? There are lots of different models?’.

“Well, all of them. Every single one. They’re all quite cheap to buy and they’ll make you look richer than you actually are.

“If you want something sporty then there’s the Gran Turismo. Prices for those start at just £16,000 which I think is just insane.

“You get an awesome sounding 4.2 litre V8, good looks, a nice interior, and again, nobody will know that this isn’t a £100,000 car.”

But there are other models worth considering.

The motors whizz told drivers to go for a fancy-looking used Mercedes-Benz S-Class if they want to drive a lavish car without being left out of pocket.

He said: “Now the S-Class has been the benchmark of the luxury car world since it was first released back in 1972. It has always set the standards and then others have followed. It is the daddy of the bunch.

“If you’ve got a budget of around £10,000 then you can get yourself a very decent W221, which is a model which ran from 2006 to 2013. There are diesels, petrols, long wheelbase, short wheelbase. There really is something for everyone.”

Motorists can snap up a decent model of a 15-year-old Mercedes Benz for less than the cheapest new full-size vehicle.

The luxury motor boasts advanced tech features that make it a top choice.

Manufacturers have equipped models with 19-inch wheels, air suspension with self-levelling, keyless go with seamless door handles and intelligent LED headlights.

But drivers are warned they should look for well-kept models with a full-service history to avoid hefty repairing bills.

For a practical family SUV, Matt said that used car buyers should consider a Range Rover.

He added: “I just don’t know how you cannot like a Range Rover. They were the first luxury 4×4, they’ve been around since 1970 and have been popular with anyone who’s anyone ever since.

“Royalty, celebrities, captains of industry, successful people the world over.

“I think if you buy a blingy one with loads of chrome and heavy window tints then it totally spoils the look. It needs to be subtle and tasteful for you to pull off the gentrified classic look.”

It comes as a car buying expert revealed the £250 item that your dealership must provide with your motor.

Having one could be a lifesaver in an emergency and also makes the vehicle easier to sell on in future.
