The motor enthusiast told how the button makes it perfect for drifting in the snow, but added it had previously been caught up in a horror crash.

He starts the video by saying: “I bet you’ve never seen one of these before,” and shows off his Audi Coupe quattro.
He continues: “If we go inside and look down here we can see a diff lock button and if we press this button that physically locks the rear diff allowing you to get out of stuck situations.”
He adds that the button can also “help you have fun in the snow,” and as one viewer pointed out its “a drift button.”
At the end of his video the man warns that “not all Audis have this pleasant a story to tell as in the case of this Audi where Car Vertical found it was previously crashed.”
According to a Quora user drifting can be “highly dangerous.”
Drift School say: “It’s crucial to start slow and practise your techniques before you start drifting at higher speeds.
“For maximum security, learn to drift from a local drift school or club, and always wear a helmet.”
The man shows a picture of a beaten up motor and says: “Remember, no matter how good a car looks, every car has a story.”
The video has since racked up more than 500 likes.
According to motorama “the way a diff works when cornering, is by releasing one wheel and driving all of the power to the “wheel of least resistance.”
It is meant for helping drivers if they “encounter difficult terrain and one or more wheels leave the ground, as full power remains on the other wheels ensuring you are still moving in the direction of travel, say 4site4x4Tyres.
It comes as another motorist also revealed a hidden button.
Jason from SamkoWorkShop, who specialises in off-roading, took to his YouTube channel to share a handy hack for when your tyres are struggling to grip.
While it may seem counterintuitive, he actually recommended turning off your motor’s traction control system when you’re in a slippery spot, at least partially.
Using his Toyota Tacoma truck he showed viewers how to do this and explained how it can actually help gain more grip in certain scenarios.
And one savvy driver revealed what button could save your life if your breaks fail.
One car expert took to TikTok to teach fellow motorists about the handy hack.
And people were amazed to discover the little-known feature.
