He is now allowed to negotiate with foreign clubs ahead of a potential free transfer in the summer.
Mbappe reportedly dreams of playing for Real but the move could be in doubt with the Frenchman making a new demand.
Journalist Ben Jacobs claims the forward is desperate to play at the Olympics this year in his home city of Paris.
Having a shot at winning a gold medal is supposedly a “dealbreaker” to Mbappe.
And he will not sign for a team that stops him playing in the Games that run from July 26 to August 11.
The player is open to letting his PSG contract expire to become a free agent during the European Championship – where he will represent France – and Olympics.
He will then look at joining Real after his busy summer.
The idea would save the Carlo Ancelotti‘s side huge money in wages.

Meanwhile, PSG could give Mbappe the green light to featuring in the Olympics despite it meaning he will miss most of his club pre-season.
The Parisiens have allegedly offered him a £86million per year contract in a bid to keep him at the Parc des Princes.
