The world may still be cackling over that viral clip of former president Barack Obama being called “fine as a motherf*cker” at a recent Detroit rally, but to his wife, Michelle, that’s just a regular day in the Obama household. On Dec. 12, the former first lady made her latest press stop at “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to promote her new book, “The Light We Carry,” and, surprisingly, it wasn’t until then that she saw the viral clip that’s still making rounds online.
“I can’t believe you haven’t seen it because we’ve all seen it,” Kimmel said to Michelle. But turns out, she didn’t have to see the viral video – she heard about it first. “He came home, that was the first thing he said. I said, ‘How’d it go?’ He said, ‘Somebody said I was fine,'” Michelle recalled with a laugh. “I was like, ‘Oh, really? That’s so sweet.'” Now, does Michelle share those kinds of stories with her husband? “Oh, no,” she told Kimmel, shaking her head with a frown. “He doesn’t need to know all my business,” she joked.
These days, viral videos are a highlight for the Obamas as Michelle says the two have “tons of boring times” together now following their stint in the White House, which, according to her, they “love.” “After eight years in the White House, you want, desperately, to have – we celebrate the boring times,” Michelle joked to Kimmel. “We look at each other and go, ‘What are you doing? Nothing.’ We’re like, ‘Yes!'”
