What’s even better is that living inside the brilliant alternative home has helped Nick save thousands – as he reveals he’s debt-free and doesn’t pay rent or a mortgage.

In fact, he managed to save $40,000 by living this way – which is over £30,000.

Nick explains: “In my opinion, living inside a motorhome or a trailer
is an excellent idea on how to get ahead in life.

“You see, us Millennials didn’t have the opportunities that previous generations had.”

In a tour of his military truck, Nick shows off his bedroom, bathroom, living area complete with couch and even other amenities, like air conditioning – all powered by batteries and solar panels on the roof.

He said: “I just built a motorhome on wheels that can adapt to any social or economic change in the United States, and it totally worked.

“By living inside this thing, I saved up a lot of money.

“I have put $11,000 into the truck itself… and save my income as a mechanical engineer for nearly eight years until I could buy a property of my own.”

Nick isn’t the only mechanic who’s chosen to live inside a converted truck to help achieve financial freedom.

Carl showed off his converted truck that he’s lived in for over two years – giving viewers a tour of his unique home filled with homely touches.

Elsewhere, a van-lifer living in the UK has showed how he solved the ‘bane of his existence’ with a clever window hack which helped him keep warmer in the winter.
