While celebrating with fans at the Kia Arena she was passed a beer bottle to autograph.

But before signing it, she took a swig of the drink.

Reacting to the interaction, commentator Mike Cation said: “She just drank that beer and signed it. Respect.”

Fans on social media also fell in love with the tennis star, with one person commenting: “This girl just ground out a GREAT win. Emma then promptly signed, drank, and then gave back some guy’s beer during post-match. Like… winner!”

While another wrote: “Best beer she’s ever had, I’m betting.”

The win saw Navarro reach the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time in her career.

Speaking after the match, she said: “I don’t know if I can put words to the emotion but it’s been a lot of years in the making.

“I played a really good first set, then I let the nerves get the best of me a bit in the second set.
