CHELSEA fans slammed the “circus” at Stamford Bridge as a bizarre promotion for upcoming film ‘Argylle’ took place during the action.
Earlier this week, Enzo Fernandez was pictured wearing a strange backpack at training, also to promote the film.
A group of men bizarrely promoted Argylle and were branded a ‘circus’ by Chelsea fans
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino could also be seen with an Argylle patch on his jacket
But the Blues hierarchy took it a step further at Stamford Bridge against Fulham.
A group of men, sporting matching swept haircuts and green velvet jackets, were given some of the best seats in the house – directly behind the Chelsea dugout.
Then, with the action being played out on the pitch, the group stood up and posed.
They did it three times during the first 20 minutes of the game – first appearing to read a page from a book and then looking at their watches.
They then started brushing their teeth.
Chelsea fans were not impressed with the sideshow – branding it a circus on social media, while fans inside the ground could be heard shouting “sit down!”
One fan wrote: “This Argylle thing is the most boring advertisement ever. Bit of a circus at the moment.”
The film, which stars Henry Cavill and is directed by Matthew Vaughan, is reportedly being produced by one of Todd Boehly’s companies.
Pop star Dua Lipa, who also stars in the film, was also rumoured to be at Stamford Bridge.
Mauricio Pochettino was also seen sporting an Argylle patch on the shoulder of his coat.
