A big brood! Diddy has expanded his family over the years as the doting dad to seven children.
The “Bad Boy For Life” rapper became a father for the first time in 1993 when he and fashion designer Misa Hylton welcomed their son Justin. After things did not work out with the stylist, Diddy moved on with Kim Porter. The twosome had an on-and-off relationship from 1994 to 2007.
The record producer and actress expanded their family with son Christian, who was born in 1998, and twin daughters, D’Lila Star and Jessie James, born in 2006. While together Diddy adopted Porter’s son Quincy Taylor Brown — whom she shared with singer Al B. Sure!.
After the Georgia native welcomed their twins, it was revealed that Diddy fathered another daughter, Chance, five months before with Sarah Chapman. The New York native took responsibility for his daughter in October 2007, 15 months after her birth.
Diddy and Porter never married, and she ultimately died in 2018 after battling pneumonia. However, the artist formerly known as Sean Combs referred to her as the love of his life in an interview with Vanity Fair in August 2021.
“Cause I was like, man, you had it. I’m not saying I would do any of it differently. God willing – I would have had more time,” Diddy told the outlet of the time of his late partner. “I look at my life as I got a second chance. I’m on my second mountain.”
In June 2022, the Sean John founder paid tribute to Porter at the BET Awards during his performance of “I’ll Be Missing You” and while accepting the Lifetime Achievement award.
“I just miss Kim, y’all,” he told the audience at the time. “I know we all go through grief and stuff like that in this life, you know, stay connected to God and he’ll bring you out. This is not — we don’t control this. But I miss Kim so much, and I just want to say thank you to Kim.”
Six months later, the Bad Boy Records founder made headlines when he revealed he welcomed a seventh child, a daughter whom he named after himself. The birth certificate, which was obtained by TMZ reveals that the former Making the Band host shares his baby girl with cyber security specialist Dana Tran.
“I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world,” the artist wrote via Twitter in December 2022. “Mama Combs, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and myself all love you so much! God is the Greatest!”
