Man Utd fans convinced they are ‘jinxed for this year already’ after seeing who is on 2024 club calendar in January

MANCHESTER UNITED supporters have been left fearing that 2024 is “jinxed” already following the release of their new official calendar.

Fans have been snapping it up after it was reduced from £10.99 to £6.60 on the club’s online store.

However, many were stunned to see outcasted Jadon Sancho kicking off the year as the poster boy for January – especially since he has not played since August 26.

He was outcasted after a stand-off that started when he was left out of the squad for September’s 3-1 loss at Arsenal.

Boss Erik ten Hag said his training was not up to standard when quizzed on his absence afterwards, but Sancho posted on social media in response: “I will not allow people saying things that are completely untrue, I conducted myself in training very well this week.”

Even though the England ace, whose last cap came over two years ago, deleted the post, Ten Hag called for an apology that never came.

The 23-year-old was axed from United’s WhatsApp group after already being barred from training with the senior side or using any of their facilities, including the canteen.

Both staff and team-mates urged Sancho — who joined from Borussia Dortmund for £73m in July 2021 — to back down but he has refused.

Now United are desperate to offload the star, who managed a mere three Premier League appearances this season before the row, with the January transfer window open.

But after the decision to kickstart the calendar with the ex-Man City academy ace, some fans are already predicting the worst for the upcoming 12 months.

One responded to the news by posting: “Jinxed for this year already.”

Another said: “He’s not even near the first team surely utd wouldn’t allow this. But wait hold on it’s utd course they would.”

While a third added: “Not a great start. Bad omen!”

Sancho is not the only man included on the calendar that could potentially leave, with defender Raphael Varane (May) in it despite reports he has not been offered a contract extension, making him able to talk to overseas clubs.

Meanwhile, Sancho and Varane also appear on the front cover of the calendar along with Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro and Marcus Rashford.
