Shop you’d never think of selling Lindt chocs for 50% off including giant tin of truffles – price start from £1.50

A SHOP you’d never expect is selling Lindt chocolates with a whopping 50% off.

Ocado has dozens of post-Christmas bargains on offer for those who are still looking to get their chocolate fix.

Ocado has slashed the price of its Lindor Lindt chocolate

The posh online supermarket is known for being a little pricey, so shoppers may be a little surprised to discover the deals.

Among the offers is a giant tin of Lindor truffles for £7.50 – reduced from £15.

We spotted the tin on sale at Boots for £8.50, meaning you could save £1 by buying the treats from Ocado.

The retailer is also selling Lindt milk chocolate teddy bears for £1.75 reduced from £3.50 and a saving of 50%.

Among the other bargains are a set of five chocolates – including reindeer and a Santa Claus – for £1.50 – reduced from £3.

An adorable set of six chocolate teddy bear Christmas decorations is now also half-price at £2.40.

And a Lindor assorted Christmas selection gift box is now just £3.75 after previously being priced at £7.50.

The treat box contains milk, white and hazelnut truffles as well as Lindor chocolate bars in orange, and caramel fillings.

But just be aware that Ocado has a minimum spend of £40.

At a time when we are all looking to save cash wherever we can and prices are continuing to shoot up – we’ll grab discounts where we can.

This is why it is good to shop around to make sure that you are getting the best deal.

It’s always important to check out how much other retailers are selling a product for instead of diving into the first offer you see.

You can use the Google Shopping tab to trawl the internet to find out how much it is being sold for elsewhere.

Meanwhile, websites like trolley.co.uk let you compare thousands of products based on their online prices.

But bear in mind that means you might not make the same savings as buying in-store.

Prices can also vary day to day and by what deals are on at the time, plus remember you might pay for delivery if you’re ordering online.

We have also revealed a bargain supermarket you’ve never heard of owned by B&M that’s cheaper than Tesco and Asda.

And there is a little-known shop where you can get popular brands such as Doritos and Heinz for as little as 95p.

You can also join our new Sun Money Facebook group to share stories and tips and engage with the consumer team and other group members.
