While the Doctor Who shop sells merchandise from the hit Sci-Fi show, it’s also home to its very own Doctor Who Museum.

Inside the Doctor Who Museum, fans of the show will find more than 120 different props, costumes, and other artefacts from the hit TV show.

As well as items from Doctor Who, like a screen-used TARDIS, a Gas Mask from the episode titled Empty Child, and a Vincent Van Gogh costume worn by Tony Curran.

There are also plenty of other costumes from the show, as well as props from Torchwood and the Sarah Jane Smith Adventures.

In addition to items used on the TV show, there’s also a walk-around Console from Doctor Who stage play.

Recent visitors to the shop have posted their reviews online on TripAdvisor.

One person wrote: “The museum itself is small but jam-packed with a myriad of fascinating props from the series (both old and new).

“I happily spent a half hour perusing them and chatting to the knowledgeable guide.”

While another added: ” The museum is so cool. The chap that’s worked there from the beginning was on hand as a guide and to answer questions. He was fabulous. What an absolute treat.

“If you are a Doctor Who fan, this is an absolute must.”

A third wrote: “My son loves all the classic episodes, so he was thrilled to see lots of props from this era.”

The Doctor Who Museum is only open for three days of the week, including Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 11am until 3pm.

Entry into the museum costs £5 for a full-paying adult, and tickets cost £3 for children aged 16 and under.

Tickets to the museum should be booked in advance online, with visitors allocated a 30-minute time slot.

Located in Upton Park in East London, the nearest tube station is Upton Park.

The Doctor Who museum isn’t the only exhibition in London that’s caused a stir among film and TV fans.

Disney100: The Exhibition, a new attraction celebrating 100 years of the Walt Disney Company, opened in London earlier this year.

The attraction, which is housed inside the ExCel in London, spans a whopping 20,000 square feet, and it has 10 sprawling galleries packed full of original props and costumes from some of Disney’s most iconic films.

Disney lovers, both old and new, will spend hours pouring over more than 250 rarely-seen artefacts, works of art, costumes, props, and other memorabilia.

From Teapot Island to a pencil museum, here are 10 quirky family fun destinations that are away from the queues.
